PDA supports businesses go live with P434

With the fast-approaching deadline of BSC Modification P434 (agreed by Ofgem in December 2022) that materially changes the way electric unmetered supplies are settled, PDA via IMServ has recently agreed to support two energy suppliers with the transition to the new unmetered trading arrangements.  British Gas and Brook Green have both signed contracts with IMServ to support the requirements of P434, one of the key stepping stones of the Marketwide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS) programme.  Further contracts are close to conclusion.

P434 requires that all new unmetered electric connections to be settled on a Hour Hourly (HH) basis - with a deadline of 4th April 2024 for compliance.  Existing unmetered NHH services will then be migrated over a 12-month period, requiring a change of measurement class.  Suppliers that are not compliant after the 4th April 2024 will not be able to take on any new NHH Unmetered contracts.

IMServ’s expertise in managing electricity settlement, change of measurement class for meters, and the extensive experience in unmetered Supplies via the Power Data Associates team, now part of IMServ, means that they are best placed to support Suppliers through the changes required under the P434 modification.

IMServ’s acquisition of Power Data Associates in 2023 means that the business is now unique in its ability to offer support across the new MHHS data services – Advanced Data Services (ADS), Smart Data Services (SDS) and Unmetered Supplies Data Services (UMSDS).
