PDA ILP Summit presentation

Power Data Associates was proud to be involved at the inaugural ILP Professional Lighting Summit that took place in Brighton this month.
The ILP asked Power Data Associates to present a technical presentation examining the impact part night lighting (dimming/switch off) has on the average p/kWh that a local authority will pay.
Teaming up with one of the largest unmetered energy suppliers, we produced a range of scenarios and analysed the impacts of different part night lighting strategies.
Some key points:

• If you save energy (kWh) you save money (£)
• Savings from part night lighting are not ‘pro rata’ but still substantial
• Average p/kWh rate does increase slightly
• Potential future additional savings from part night lighting from the Carbon Reduction Commitment
