CRC Update

The Department for Energy and Climate Change (DECC) have announced their plan for simplifying the Carbon Reduction Commitment (CRC). They have confirmed that from 1st April 2014 all unmetered supplies (Non Half Hourly, passive Half Hourly and dynamic Half Hourly) will be included in the Carbon Reduction Commitment. Unmetered supplies will not count towards a participant’s qualification for the scheme. DECC recognise the current unintended consequence of the CRC is that CMS controlled equipment is not being fully achieving the potential energy savings. For details – DECC Consultation
