First Meter Administrator to be CMS Approved - January 2009 - In January this year Power Data Associates was the first (and currently only) Meter Administrator to be approved by ELEXON as capable of processing data from a Central Management System. This means that Power Data Associates are now able to ensure that any of our customers who use an approved Central Management System will receive the financial benefits of using it.
The first system to gain approval was the WiMAC system used by both Harvard LeafNut and Zodion Vizion. Power Data Associates are also working closely with other manufacturers and these are at various stages of testing/development/approval.
Power Data Associates and other industry partners have been working on this development for nearly three years. We are pleased to finally able to offer customers the financial benefit of these systems by reducing the energy consumption to reflect exactly when the lamps switch on, off or change power levels. This is a significant step forward for customers, and the energy industry.
The ELEXON unmetered page gives details of all the approved systems. If you would like to find out more, Contact...
